Longines Clous De Paris

Saw this in real life and it really looks nice. Longines is really turning into a major watch player.
These should be in the $3000+ range.

Two pieces from my extended collection are for sale, $100 each, shipped. First, you have the Sorna Bullhead Chrono - manual wind - which I reviewed here. It’s in perfect condition on a black leather band.

Then we have an automatic Zodiac GMT in fair condition. It’s a bit aged but runs well and all of the features - date window and GMT hand - work perfectly. The case is a bit worse for wear, but it’s a vintage, working GMT at a bargain price.
If you’re interested, drop me a line at john at wristwatchreview dot com. If I don’t have any takers by the end of the week I’ll eBay these, but I wanted to give you guys a chance to pick them up.

I wrote a review of Fossil’s Bluetooth watch over at CrunchGear.com. The watch is cool, very stylish, but it might be a bit expensive for it’s one cool feature - it gives you a called ID readout on some Symbian-based phones. It’s cool, but I’m waiting for the next incarnation.

Blancier has done it again with the Poker Face, a new face for their do-it-yourself line of timepieces. The watch face features card pips and you can even get your lucky number engraved on the crown. Mine would be 3,044,223,332. They would need to add a big crown.
In other news, Blancier is also planning a diver. Now that’s even cooler.

I’ve never been to Nobu but I hear their fish and chips are excellent. Designed for chef Nobu Matsuhisa, this ceramic beauty is scratchproof and heat resistant. It’s also kind of pretty.
The Nobu Special Sintra XXL Automatic was designed using the original shape and body of the Sintra XXL. Enhanced features include eight blue sapphires that are located at the 12,3,6 and 9 hour markers. The traditional Rado anchor is featured in silver, and is against a silver dial. The case-back is engraved with Nobu’s logo and signature and features the individual number of the timepiece. The suggested retail value is $3,100 each. A minimum contribution of $10,000 of the retail sales of the timepiece will be donated to Save the Children® which is the leading independent organization creating real and lasting change for children in need in the United States and around the world.

I’m really jet-lagged so I’ll just paste the release.
The Swatch Group Ltd. acquired with immediate effect 100% of the shares of
the watch dial manufacturer MOM Le Prélet SA in Les Geneveys-sur-Coffrane
(Switzerland) from the owners, Ms. Monique Giorgis, Messrs. Olivier Schwab
and Jean-Marie (Mario) Schwab. Mr. Olivier Schwab, current main shareholder
and General Manager will continue to head operations of the new Swatch
Group company which employs some 125 persons, thus ensuring the supply to
all its present clients within and outside the Swatch Group. The company was founded in 1895 by Kossuth Calame and his four sons. The
considerable know-how acquired during more than a century in the
manufacturing of top-quality watch dials will adequately complement the
segment of the Swatch Group production sector.

Another day, another TokyoFlash watch. This is 1.4-ounce Retsu. When you press a button, the lights race up and blink the time, one digit at a time. It costs $130 and your pride, so be ready to cough it up.

This quote from this WuS thread says it all.
A dufus came into the shoppe yesterday wearing a fairly new TAG
Carrara Chrono. One of the pushers had fallen out and so to make the
watch look “even,” this brain dead twit pulled out the other pusher
with a pair of pliers. To top it off, he wasn’t going to have it repaired,
plus he has a girlfriend! I hope they don’t get married and
have kids.

Ehh? I’m kind of getting tired of the Big Bang. I saw it in the shop the other day and was unimpressed - it was kind of chintzy looking. This one looks cooler, but Hublot needs to stop flogging this or else we’ll all get tired.
UPDATE - This is by Hublot and Luna Rossa is some fancy sailing team, FYI.
This a new sponsoring agreement made with Luna Rossa (which belongs in majority to Prada) in order to make a special Big Bang, all in the materials used in the America’s Cup boat. Full ceramic, Kevlar, carbon, titanium and rubber. A total synergy between the boat and the watch plus a total synergy between the two brands. Which are both not only luxury brands, but work both with the “fusion “concept. In fact we could not have a better partner, 1000 watches will be made and will be sold all over the world including in some of the Prada’s flagship stores of Italy.A phenomenal event for Hublot and a great opportunity to join the America’s Cup!Deliveries will only start in November. The watch is a 44,5mm ceramic Big Bang (same case as All Black, but with a special carbon dial bearing the log of Luna Rossa).
