MEN'S CHRONOGRAPH WATCHES - MEN'S DRESS WATCHES

Happy Holidays

December 28th, 2006 5 comments

I’m out for the week in Warsaw, Poland. I’ll be back on the 3rd and hopefully I’ll be able to solve all of the problems we’re having with the site including those crappy ads that pop up entirely too much. I’m not getting much cash out of them and they are seriously annoying. Anyway, happy watch hunting. What did you all get for Christmas?

Chuck Maddox: Watch Fop Killer

December 20th, 2006 3 comments

fop.jpgChuck Maddox tears into a WatchUSeek fop Thomas in an excoriation of Omega. An example of Watch snobbery vs. realism at its best.

and I should know better than most of you.

Laughable!

However, if knowledge/experience is directly related to amount of stupidity exhibited he may have a case.

img0145en9.jpgThe kooks over at the Rolex Forum let a Bahn run over a fake Rolex. The results are quite striking.

Seiko Ignition SBHL003

December 20th, 2006 1 comment

seiko_ignition_sbhl003.jpgNice new Seiko caught over on WatchReport.

The SBHL003 is an interesting new addition to Seiko’s Ignition line. There are two things which differentiate it from other Seiko Ignitions. First, while the watch uses a classic analog display to present the time, the inner dial is an LCD used for timing and alarm features. Second, the stopwatch has a very precise resolution of 1/1,000th of a second (like the Seiko Sportura SNJ005 and the TAG Heuer Microtimer).

Balance-cocks Wha?

December 20th, 2006 No comments

coq-3.jpgBalance cocks are the little pices that fit over the balance wheel to keep them in place. They sometimes look like little chickens, or coqs, and have absolutely nothing to do with what’s going through your filthy dirty mind. Fascination has a huge article on the them, explaining that they were once so beautiful people actually wore them as jewelry. Stupid people.

I’ve created a forum for you guys to ask questions and talk about watches. I haven’t quite figured things out in terms of programming, but it looks solid enough. Please give it a try and let me know if there are any problems in the code.

Wii watch

December 13th, 2006 2 comments

Wiiwatch
Never mind the 1.9 miilion you could spend on a Patek, here on eBay, you could buy piece of history. That’s right, a launch watch for the Nintendo Wii. According to the auctioner only 200 of these bad boys were ever made (read rebadged) and could be yours for a paltry 60 quid.
Notwithstanding the allure of this “sports-style stainless steel quartz, with second hand, rotating bezel and magnified date.” I would rather have a wiimote on my wrist than this.

Biohazard by Tokyoflash

December 7th, 2006 3 comments

TOK003_m.gifAnother day, another fancy pants watch from TokyoFlash. Man, this one is a peach.

The Biohazard watch uses an advanced color LCD display to simulate the effect you might see on Mr Spocks tri-corder or in many Science Fiction films. The readout, in fact, tells the time by counting the colored segments.

A press of the button sends the watch into scan mode and the various panels & readouts animate as if scanning the area for life forms. After a few seconds the results display the time, but the animation sequence can be skipped if desired with a second press of the button.
