Review: Timex TX 730

I wrote a review for my “day job” site, CrunchGear.com, of the Timex TX 730. Head on over and check it out.

Timex has long been the butt of countless jokes. A brand that used to take a licking and keep on ticking has been reduced to bargain bin quartz pieces with a few bright lights like the Ironman series to keep it afloat. Well, Timex has pulled a complete 180 and released a watch that I can honestly say is a step forward for the brand and, dare I say it, everyday horology.

I am really, really interested in these watches. I’m not sure how long I’d wear it before the novelty wore off, but I think they’re pretty impressive pieces of tech.

I already own the Timex TX Serie 770 Flyback Chronograph [T3B881] and now for sure now it’s a great watch. I’m now saving money for the Timex TX Serie 730 Flyback Chronograph [T3B921]. Please see http://www.watchxl.com.

brought timex Tx 770 with compass and flyback chronograph and dual time 2 weeks ago in Dubai.
brilliant watch. a real attention getter. looks good for formal a swell as casual wear.. the various functions are great. I compared it with tissot touch series and whereas the latter has more functions and is swiss made . this definitely looks great on ones wrist. 5 stars for it no regret choosing timex over tisoot at same price range

ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO REGISTER MY WATCH IM LIVING IN
IRELAND.THERE ARE NO TIMEX OFFICES IN IRELAND

That is not a Timex. TX is a German watch company.

Researched the TX 730 and compared it with the Pathfinder 1500-7V. Although the Pathfinder had more features (my fav the solar recharing aspect) The 730 has a better feel/look to it considering I’m not hiking. Luving the 730

@John TX was designed in Germany and is a subsidiary of Timex. Probably why you can find them here:

    Hello,
I got the 800 seires T3C*310, it is really a nice watch and pretty reliable. But a problem occured with the gum ring just under the rotating bezel. It’s not of quality and it stains the inside of shirt sleeve with black marks. I brought the issue to TX Watch customer service but no follow-up…
Just replacing it with a good quality silicon would resolve the problem in no time. But it seems the demons of Timex poor customer service are still alived!
    Ed.
