Christopher Ward pulls out of the pack

Christopher Ward Watches is starting to pull out of the crowd with some distinctive and handsome designs. From the start, their business model has been to put out a first rate watch on a razor thin profit margin. Their earlier watches were definitely tasteful, but a little on the conservative side.

With the C6 Kingfisher Diver automatic, Christopher is putting a more distinctive style forward. 42mm, with an ETA 2824-2 movement, seems fairly mundane until you look at it. I’m liking it a lot. And with a 300m water resistance and a robust warranty and returns policy, it sounds like he has a lot of confidence in his watches.

Flashier than my usual tastes, but I could learn to live with it.

You may not appreciate it, if you find the blue flashier than usual, but i love the orange and yellow superluminova faces on the kingfishers (i have an orange one myself – http://www.christopherward.co.uk/pd2_MENS_C6-KING_C6SOSI_C6-Kingfisher-Diver-Pro-steel%5Bf%5Dorange%5Bf%5Dblack-(Silicon-Rubber).htm).
I’m no diver, but i love the vibrant colour, and when i showed it to a friend of mine who does dive, he was intregued (as much by the reasonable price as anything) – i think its on his xmas list!

The C6 Kingfisher Diver automatic was a limited addition model that has long been sold out. Christopher Ward doesn’t offer an automatic C6, at least not at this time.

The C6 Kingfisher Diver is still available, with a Swiss quartz movement… Still a great watch at a great price.
