If you’re into watches and clocks you should be a member of the NAWCC. That’s my first message. As for my second message, I’m currently in the running to become an NAWCC director and my goal is to help the organization reach a much wider audience. The group, besides being a great place to meet other horology freaks, is dedicated to education and outreach and they offer a number of excellent workshops, a museum, and a nice horology library. Members also get in free at multiple science centers across the nation, so that’s a big plus. They also produce a beautiful magazine every month.

I would like to join the board and would love your support. You can read my statement here and you’ll be able to vote this winter. If you’re a member, pop in and send me message about your experiences with the org. If you’re not a member, become one. Seriously.

While I’ll admit that the words “vintage officer” make me think of a drunken war hero who graduated college, I’m quite enamored by the look of this new B&R chrono. It has a definite Speedmaster feel to it. Ir runs a nice ETA 2895 for the three hand version (the 123) and a 2894 for the 126 chrono version. It is 41mm and comes in steel with anti-reflective domed crystal.

Not much to say right now on this but I do love the face on this Regulator Retrograde from Perrelet. Considering these guys usually make their famous rotor watches, this is a refreshing change.

This rare combination of complications- the separate indication of the hours and minutes and the retrograde hour, demonstrate the inventiveness and know-how of Perrelet.

I love me some E Ink watches especially when they’re well made and Phosphor makes some of the best ones. Their latest creation is a world time model with 24 timezones and a curved face with steel case. The watch costs $150 and is available on a rubber, leather, or steel band.
