Clean Out My Watch Box

0 Comments 01 December 2011

I’ve just found a box of watches I collected during my early Seiko days and I wanted to see if any of you guys wanted to pick one up. They’re in excellent, if used, condition and all are working. They need a good lube, obviously, but these are some classic pieces.

I wrote about all of these guys five years ago and, sadly, they haven’t seen much wrist time since then. I need to get them out into the world to breathe.

First up (above), the model 6138-8030 dual-register chrono, circa 1976. I’m thinking $300 on this. Metal band, original case. Sets and resets. Day-date register. Blue face, white hands.

SOLD – Next we have the Bellmatic 4006-6050 alarm watch for $200. Day-Date register, mechanical alarm, runs and sets. Alarm works. This thing is a hoot. It’s one of Seiko’s earliest mechanical alarms.

SOLD – Here is the 6117-6410 Navigator Timer, a watch with a GMT hand. It’s about 1970. I’d like $100 for it. It’s on a fugly leather band but it runs and sets.

Finally, we have a 6139-8029 single register chrono. Day-date, blue face with orange hands. This thing would go well with a pair of bell bottoms. About 1970. $200.

I’ll take Paypal or I’d even be willing to trade if you have something mouldering away. Price is shipped to US, we’ll talk if you need these out of the country. Drop me a line at john@wristwatchreview.com and happy hunting.
