I remember when Storm made their bones building watches with little telescoping irises in the middle to protect the face. My buddy wore one when he was teaching at a college so he wouldn&#8217;t be drawn to checking the time every five minutes. Storm has grown up a lot since then, as evidenced by this handsome titanium diver with Kevlar strap.<br />

The watch costs $450 and has a date register and standard Swiss quartz movement. It&#8217;s water-resistant to 1000m and is 45mm wide. You could do worse than this watch and at below $500 for a Swiss quartz it&#8217;s pretty reasonable. It looks much better than whatever <a HREF="http://www.stormusa.com/watches/mens/dualmec-19857">this is supposed to be</a>.</p>
