It’s been awhile since we had a look at a dress watch, so that’s what we’ll peep today. The model is in question is the Visodate from Tissot, and, as you can see above, it offers the classic dresswatch style. In many ways, it’s similar to the Hamilton Jazzmaster that I’ve liked so much in previous reviews. Does it stand the comparison?
Yesterday’s post on a Tissot model got me to thinking about what originally made me take notice of the Tissot brand. That was the fact that they’ve offered touch technology on their watches for some time now. No, you won’t be pinching and zooming on the dial, but you can control quite a few functions with the touch tech.
While I perusing the ol’ WristWatchReview, the Amazon widget (yeah, that one over there on the right) caught my eye, and I kept an eye on what was scrolling through. The Tissot PRC200 that came up caught my eye, and here we are at today’s post.
The Tissot T-Touch is Tissot’s flagship sports watch. While other models have come and gone, the venerated T-Touch with its touch-sensitive crystal and bold styling has remained constant. A few models appeared to replace the original, notably the T-Touch Expert, but nothing could quite unseat it.
Now, however, Tissot is essentially mothballing the old model and is focusing on the bold T-Touch II. This new model has a larger LCD screen, better water resistance, and more style options. But it’s still the T-Touch you know and love. But, and this is important, it has a backlight! Read more…
I was talking with an friend of mine online recently, and the subject of “The List” came up. You know, the list of watches that you someday hope to own as a collector, a wish-list if you will. Since I’m fairly new to the collecting part of things, my list is relatively short and common, but I’m sure as time goes on, my tastes will expand, and someday I’ll want a big boy watch too.
Here’s a list of the watches I plan on owning someday, in no particular order:

Again, I realize that this isn’t going to be the same list as everyone else has, but I like what I like. What’s on your list?
