I’ve been having fun with these “Horological History” posts – as well as managing to learn some things along the way.  It seems that you, the readers, like these posts as well.  Here’s one thing I’m running into – the subjects for these posts aren’t quite as easy to come by as are our regular posts.

I’ve got a few more ideas to work through, but I’d like to hear your suggestions – have you run across an interesting article or video lately?  Or is there some aspect of a watch brand or model you’d like us to dig into?  Perhaps a movement you’d like more information on?

Basically, let me know – either via comments, or sending me an email.  I’m looking forward to seeing what we can uncover together!

  1. How about some info on fluid filled watches like sinn. Maybe some history on tritium and Lume. Dead seconds, anti reflective coatings, jump hour and how it works. Just a few ideas. Thanks for all your articles!

  2. I put a down payment on an Olivier (a boutique startup out of southern CA) bronze dive watch about a year ago. Some report getting their watch, others not. Repeated emails have gone unanswered. Perhaps you could look into this brand and see what is happening.

  3. What about digging into Lemania & what Swatch is doing with that these days? I’ve seen some images of a chronograph but have no idea what the deal is or if they have even spoken about their intentions.
