Two more watches popped up on Kickstarter, one a return of a watch that did not make its goal, and the other a new wood/metal quartz project.

First is the return of the Coastliner, the watch that I think is the best looking project I have seen on the site.  The watch has been up for not very long and has reached about 1/2 of its goal, so it is well on its way.

The watch is a Swiss made automatic with a ETA 2824-2 movement.  The lower tiers are all sold out, but the watch is available for a little over $1,000 with the exchange rate.

The other project up in a new US- designed watch that claims to be the first designed by a woman (how much research went into that claim?).  The watch is metal with wood accents, in my opinion the better way to incorporate wood into a watch.  It houses a Ronda Swiss movement in a tonneau case and has both men’s and women’s sizes available.

There are four color combinations, red sandalwood with stainless steel, green sandalwood with gold plating, black sandalwood with rose gold plating, and maple with black plating.  These are available at the entry level pledge of $99 (or $198 for two) if you are so inclined.
