The Lew & Heuy automatic chrono Kickstarter project failed to meet its initial funding, and the creators are back for a second go-round (project page; our initial take is here).  Likewise, Matt H is back to give us another run-down.This time around, they reduced the funding limit to $10,000, which is about what they raised with the first offering (against a goal of $40,000).  The unit is unchanged, a Chinese manufactured column wheel automatic chronograph with a Seagull ST 1940 movement, a sapphire crystal, an exhibition caseback, and a brushed stainless case.

The project states that production is about to start, so they may be able to meet the targeted September delivery date.  There are three options for purchase.  You can get one watch for $455 right now and get in on the ground floor with a numbered case, you can give a deposit of $240 now and pay another $240 once production is complete (giving you some measure of protection against vaporware), or you can get two watches for $850.

If you want another opinion, Worn and Wound did a review of the watch for the first campaign, though I am not sure if the review is only based on the images, or if it is hands-on (link).  Let us know in the comments what you think – is this watch worth the asking price?  It does look like they should hit the funding goal this time around…
