Canopus Week Planner 01

Hey, remember that sweet-looking Canopus Weekplanner we brought to your attention back in July (see here)?  Well, while the original crowd-funding campaign didn’t quite meet the goals, it’s back again, this time over on Kickstarter. If you’re not familiar with the watch, I really recommend you check out our earlier writeup; you can also get more information from the project page.   In short, you’re funding a project (if you join in) that’s looking to shake things up a bit in the luxury watch market (transparency is a big key to this project), all while netting yourself a nice discount (2/3rds off, to be exact).  Of course, the $5,000 asking price is still on the steep side for many folks, unless you’re already sailing in the high-end seas.

For those who want to help the project of the ground, but don’t have deep pockets, you do of course have all manner of funding levels as you’d expect from a Kickstarter project.  That said, pricing is in-line with where the watch sits (ie, pricey).  Then again, if your tastes skew towards the refined, the watch box does look to be a rather nice one.  While it’s a far cry from the project that I myself backed, it will be interesting to see if the luxury market can support the crowd-funding model.

If you’d like more information on the watch and the company, you may want to check out the interview I did with Oliver Ike over at aBlogtoWatch right here.
