The Bell & Ross BR-03-92-FULL-LUM is bound to turn some heads. The watch is almost all lume, from the lume-infused rubber band to a face that glows like a flashlight. Rather than just applying a little color to the indices, B&R has covered the entire face of this truly fascinating piece.

Limited to 250 made, the BR-03-92-FULL-LUM is a “Christmas special” on B&R’s website. It’s a masterwork in materials science. B&R writes:

The ultra-phosphorescent green light has a very long durability in the dark, offering a continual reading of the hour even in complete darkness.
Its case is cut in a deep matte black color and its display remains perfectly legible day and night thanks to its hands, indexes and black numbers printed by transfer. Bell & Ross stands out as pioneer with this new luminescent rubber bracelet. To obtain this innovative result, pigments were incorporated into the material, which will then be hot moulded and pressed.

The company has been doing quite a bit in terms of design and materials this year, a pleasant surprise from a manufacturer best known for its large “aviation-styled” pieces. Another interesting thing? B&R is selling these things base on a lottery that will allow only a few lucky buyers to pick one up. It’s also available for limited pre-order.

The price? About $3,800, which is just about right for a limited edition like this one. After all, lume doesn’t come for free!
