I’ve never been a bracelet guy. I’ll wear a watch but jewelry isn’t quite my thing. That said, I think I could get behind these Bombfell Flint braided leather bracelets because they look cool, they’re deeply understated, and they work really well with watches and smart devices.

The bracelets are made in the US from “American leather and repurposed, spent, .22 caliber ammo shells” – they ends are literally made of brass shells and you can see where the pins fired hit the shells. It’s pretty cool. They’re made in the Southwest by a company called Tres Cuervos and they offer solid leather bracelets for $40 or braided bracelets for $50.

At half a C-notes these things are pretty pricey but given that you’ll probably be wearing them for a few years. You can also buy them directly from the Tres Cuervos website. My take is simple: I’ve always wanted to try bracelets but nothing every really worked. These things fit my big wrists, they stay on even under duress, and look great. I’m not sure I’m going to end up being a bracelet guy but this is a fun start on that weird, winding road. Wish me luck.
