Bathys Sale: $50 Off Any Watch Until September 30

Our Hawaiian buddy John at Bathys is offering $50 off any watch in his collection. I’m quite a fan of everything he sells but I really want him to make the Bomb Timer he promised a year ago and maybe this sale will push him into manufacturing it.

Bathys Lunar Midsize Watch Review

Bathys-Lunar-Midsize (3)

Even if you weren’t familiar with Bathys, you very likely heard about their latest, a foray in an atomic watch (ABTW’s coverage). Well, we hear at WWR have been fans of what Dr. Patterson has been putting together for some time now, and I’m happy that today I’m bringing you my first hands-on review of a Bathys model, the Lunar Midsize.

Review: Bathys 100 Fathoms Automatic

img_4810.JPG

Bathys is the little watch company that could. Founded by John Patterson, this tiny Hawaiian company sources their watches in Switzerland and offers the surfer – and landlubber – alike a little taste of that Ahola feeling.

Almost a year after the launch of their first watch, the 100 Fathoms Big Date, Patterson has topped himself. The automatic version of the Bathys 100 Fathoms is a testament to Patterson’s hard work and eye for detail.

Bathys Goes Atomic

Do you want an accurate watch?  Is a certified automatic too inaccurate and a quartz too, well, uninteresting?  How about an atomic clock.  Not a quartz watch that uses the atomic clock broadcasts, but an honest to goodness atomic clock that you can wear on your wrist?  Well Bathys has the Kickstarter project for you, the World’s 1st Atomic Wristwatch.

Bathys releases two new watches

Bathys watches are some of my favorites. Created by a young man named John Patterson who lives in Hawai’i, they’re aimed at surfers and outdoorsy types who don’t want to look like Captain Digitalpants while wearing a big, wonky wrist computer.

He just announced two new models, the Ti-Quartz Benthic (top) and the Lunar Wahine (above). The Ti-Quartz has a Ronda 7003.N movement with large date and retrograde day. It has a timing bezel and should cost about $950. The Lunar Wahine has a moon phase complication and is a bit smaller – 36mm – for the ladies. It costs $795.
