Panerai: Ready for Its Close-Up

I don’t even know what to think about this video. Someone from the Big Watch Forum grabbed a 3 minute long video of the insides of their Panerai. Amazing or sick?

I present to you a Panerai Radiomir Tourbillon GMT Ceramica Lo Scientziato Watch

Ariel “Sass-master 2000” Adams has some great shots of the new Panerai monster. This watch, just for reference, costs more than ten of my cars.

The watch is made of black ceramic and it uses Panerai’s tourbillon calibre behind a skeletonized face. You’ll notice a second’s hand, an AM/PM indicator, and a GMT hand front and center. It is 48mm wide and limited to 30 pieces.

PaneraiBlog: Guess What It’s About?

Nice new blog all about the biggest watches on Earth. I’m not a big watch lover, but I love me some Panerai. If I had the dosh and most of their movements weren’t so boring, I’d get one. Best feature? Their Panerai picture of the day. It’s watch porn. A Blog About Panerais, Perhaps?

My next big watch, if I can afford it an my wife doesn’t kill me, could be a nice Panerai. I see all kinds of folks wearing them now, from business folken to rappers, but I still have a soft spot in my heart for the little Italian watch company that could.

That said, here’s a new blogger on the block, Looks good so far and it’s actually unshod territory, so that’s good. Take a gander.

Introducing the Panerai Platinumtech Luminor Marina

At first glance, you may not notice a whole lot that different about the recently-announced Panerai Platinumtech Luminor Marina. So, what do you think – is it just a new dial color? Something with the strap? No, friends, the answer is hiding in the name.

How A Panerai Is Made

I bet you thought a modern watch was made by a gnomic little man with a tiny hat on a wooden bench. Nope. These are high-tech factories and could probably double as iPad manufacturing plants with a bit of retraining.

Wild Panerai Prototype Unearthed

You know me and Panerais: I love the look, but I think it’s played out. Take a look at this wild-looking Panerai prototype made in 1984.
