Watches and motorsports just seem to fit well together. More commonly, though, the motorsport is of a four-wheeled variety. Laco is mixing that formula up a little bit with their latest watch in honor of the Isle of Man TT.
If you”re not familiar with the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy, it”s a 264-mile road course on the Isle of Man that weaves its way through some very picturesque scenery that also presents quite a few technical challenges for riders, as well as plenty of danger. In short, this is a course that many riders aspire to be able to compete in (you can read more about the race here and here).
In the early parts of the races history, British races took the crown in the Senior TT class for three decades. In 1939, however, that changed. A man by the name of Georg Meier rode his 500cc BMW Kompressor in what was an apparently flawless performance, securing his spot in the history books.

Interestingly, Laco collaborated with five motorcycle enthusiasts who will put the watch through it”s paces as they ride vintage BMW motorcycles from Berlin to the inaugural Isle of Man Classic TT races.
The watch features an ETA 7750 tucked away in its 44mm case, which is topped by an AR-coated sapphire crystal, and features a 50m water resistance rating (perfect for enduring some rain or sweat on a ride). The dial is an homage to the original BMW speedometer, and the whole kit is mounted on a 22mm shell cordovan strap.
