Thank you for reading this WristWatchReview post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

WristWatchReview is one of the few remaining truly independent watch news outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent watch sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis. We don't play the games the other sites play and we've paid for it when it comes to ad revenue.

We would love for you to support us on Patreon and every little bit helps. Thank you.

  1. Very unique function, and the more of those the better in the watchmaking industry. I like the 0 6 look as well.

  2. I love the non-traditional ways of displaying dates, etc. Adds to the uniqueness of the watch 🙂 Thanks guys!!!

  3. I like the day of week display on this watch. It’s very readable and has a unique look. The AVI-8 pulls off the aviator style very nicely.

  4. This is a seriously interesting way to show the date. Personally, I like the more traditional methods for day and date. If I’m being really spunky, I like big dates!

  5. Sometimes I get confused about what day it is. If only there was a device that could keep me informed.

  6. I enjoy the minimalistic qualities of the watch. First, the days of the week set in a horizontal fashion versus circular is unique and simple to quickly glance at. Second, the large hour divisions and second divisions greatly contrast with the white face. This allows for the time to be quickly read with only a second of consideration. Finally, the date and the hands are classic to many watches and function well with the uniqueness of the watch face.

  7. I haven’t seen the date displayed like this before- and contrary to what some people have said- I totally forget what day it is sometimes as I don’t work a traditional 9am-5pm 7days/week type job.

  8. Like the others, I like the simple and easy to read day of the week display. I especially like the larger display with few numbers to confuse the space and to give visual separation between each of the elements.

  9. It is difficult to tell at a glance what day of the week it is. Also, a large percentage of the dial is devoted to the day of the week. Doesn’t everyone keep track of the day of week closely to know when the workweek is over and it is time for the weekend? 🙂

  10. I love the way the day of the week is presented. This would be a great addition to any collection.

  11. I actually like the dashboard-ish day indicator. Fits well the dashboard-gauges aviation aesthetics and really blends in with the grooves surrounding the minutes indicators

  12. Hi, I like the way the whole week is displayed in a column like that, it’s unique but nice. Thanks for the giveaway.

  13. It’s like a little thermometer! I like it. Easier to read and interesting change from the regular date window.

  14. I really like the day of the week display, gives it a very instrumental feel – appropriate for a pilot watch.
