Liberum is a new watch concept that brings together the magic of Lego with the majesty of horology.

Basically the Liberum DMD 001 Automatic is a DIY watch that features a mono block movement casing and a set of swappable outer casings and bands. To swap out the casing you use a small hex key to remove a single screw and then you can pop the movement into a new body. Then, when you’re ready to swap out the band, you simply move a small catch to pop the bands out and replace them with a new color.

The whole thing is a clever little solution to the age-old problem of getting bored with your current timepiece!

The watch launches on Kickstarter today so head over and check them out. I got the chance to play with some very early prototypes and I came away quite impressed.
