One thing remains true – rather than simply introducing new colorways for existing models, watch brands are making good use of collaboration with other brands to come up with those new color schemes. One of the latest to do this is the Timex Navi x Iceberg.

Timex we know, but who is Iceberg? They’re a sportswear brand, and have a variety of unique looks in their catalog. For this collaboration, they took the Timex Navi (the 38mm version), put a dark argent coat on the case, and then put what I consider a sort of vintage outdoors color scheme on the dial and strap – olive green, bright orange, and then black and white.

The most striking element of the release is the word “BE” across the dial – call it a personal mantra and reminder? It’s also part of the larger branding, with the word “ICEBERG” stretching from both sides of the textile strap and across the dial. It’s an interesting approach, and one that insures you remember where this collab sprung from.

We like the fact that, even if you swap out straps, the writing on the dial still makes sense. It’s available now for $169 directly from Iceberg, or of course over at timex.com
