Steve Alan, that’s who.  Apparently (and unbeknownst to me), he’s quite the designer, and has his own line of clothing (men’s and womens), and all the associated accouterments.  Within that category, of interest to us, would be the watches.  Now, most fashion brandsseem to hone in solely on quartz pieces – but surprisingly, they have some affordable automatics in the mix.

The model (truly just one, in two case colors) is simply named the 21 Jewel Automatic.  It features a Japanese-made movement (guessing it’s a Miyota of some flavor) driving the three-hander plus date display.  With the styling of the piece (specifically the hands and polished case), I’m tempted to call it a dress watch, though the Horween Shell Cordovan strap may make it a bit less dressy.

That said, that is a very nice bit of leather on the watch, and make it a worthwhile piece to check out.  The strap itself is graduated, starting at 22mm at the lugs, and narrowing to 20mm at the buckle.  As I mentioned above, the lugs are on a highly-polished 39mm stainless steel case, which has an exhibition display back.

In terms of options, you can go with a silver-tone case and black dial, or gold-tone case with white dial.  Both look good on the strap, but I prefer the silver case myself.  Regardless of the option you go for, they both come in at a very affordable $285.  If you’re interested in adding this to your collectio, head on over here and place your order.
