If you’re even remotely active in the online community, you’re likely aware of the Spanish brand t.a.c.t.i.c.o (referred to as Tactico here on out). Their first model, the TC1, was immensely popular, and sold out rather quickly.  Based on what I’m seeing here with their followup, the TC2, I think they’ll have another hit on their hands.

This diver definitely has a vintage feel, through and through (though, the case is a more-modern 42mm).  It carries this look primarily (for me) with the shape of the indices on the dial, as well as the colors used (yellow, black, and red).  Of course, the classic style of the case, as well as the scalloped 120 click (unidirectional) bezel complete the look.  Oh, and I almost forgot – the lume used on the dial and hands?  It’s “vintage tritium superluminova” – help keep the aged look, yet giving you excellent low light visibility.

Driving the hands and date display, you’ve got an ETA 2824-2, so definitely a well-known quantity.  Protecting the dial, you’ll get a double-domed (and AR-coated) sapphire crystal.  That, combined with the screw-in case back and screw-down crown will net you a 500m water resistance rating, so you can definitely swim with this piece on.

And, should you hit the waves, any of the included straps or bracelet will serve quite well.  The TC2 comes with a “plain” Oyster bracelet, as well as two nylon straps (one black, one tan).  All three of these work wonderfully, in my opinion.  Of course, if you want something different, you could opt for a leather strap or a mesh bracelet.

At current conversion rates, the TC2 will run about about $715, plus another $60 for shipping.  Given the movement, materials, and included goodies, I think this is definitely a good price for what you’re getting.
