Want a good deal on a cool watch? With Father’s Day a few weeks away, Touch of Modern (join here if you are not already a member) has a good sale on aviation inspired Techne Watches, with both quartz and automatic options.
The watch that is getting my wallet itching at the moment is the Techne Watches GosHawk, a three hand automatic with a 24 hour subdail and date window. Patrick took a look at this watch back in 2012, and Worn and Wound has another review on the piece. ToM has the watch on sale for $189 to $229. The black on black version is $189, while the gunmetal on brown and gunmetal on saddle watches are both $229.
Another automatic is the Harrier, available for $329 on an olive or black strap. Patrick had some time with this watch hands-on back in 2013. The three hander with date is a clean, attractive design.
Lastly, there are three version of the Harrier Quartz on sale for $149. Two leather straps are available, olive drab and saddle, as well as one on a grey nylon strap.
