Titan-Edge-01

Whatever watch it is that we bring in for review, we always make sure to run down the “hard specs” on a watch.  This includes the physical dimensions of the watch, as well as its weight.  For our August 2015 Giveaway, we will be giving away the lightest (at 36g) and thinnest watch (< 4mm) watch I have ever reviewed – the Titan Edge.

When it comes to lightweight watches, if you want it made out of metal, the obvious choice is titanium, and that is definitely what we have here.  For going thin, unless you want a stratospheric price, you are going to end up opting for a quartz movement – again, this is what the Titan Edge has inside.

Given that I am much more used to wearing bulkier watches made from stainless steel, having something as light as the Titan Edge on the wrist was something quite different.  This is a watch you truly can forget that you have on your wrist, as it is not all that noticeable on the wrist.  While there is a lot to like, the strap is the one weak spot that I noted in the review.  Then again, at 22mm, it’s a standard size to replace – just make sure you find something suitably light (perhaps a braided perlon might work well).

Strap aside, this would be a fun watch for just about any collection, given that it is likely going to be quite different from anything else you own.  For your opportunity to win your own Titan Edge, you will need to do two things:

  1. Comment below with what your favorite lightweight and/or titanium watch (that you own, or would like to own).  If we cannot match a comment on this post to your entry in the giveaway widget, you will be disqualified.
  2. Then, head on over here and get your entries in for the August 2015 Giveaway.

Good luck!
