Now, I know what you’re thinking – that photo up there looks an awful lot like the Christopher Ward C60 Sapphire (which we wrote about here). And you’re not wrong. That is precisely what we have here with the Christopher Ward C60 Blue, albeit with a few alterations.
The first alteration? That’s there on the dial – it’s still sapphire, but you’ve got a wave pattern printed on it, sort of like an aquatic camouflage. Secondly, the strap is made of plastic that has been reclaimed and recycled from plastic collected from the ocean. It’s something we’ve seen more and more brands doing as of late, and I’d say it’s a great thing to see happening, cleaning that stuff from the ocean.
Along with doing this for the goodwill of it all, Christopher Ward is also partnering up with Blue Marine Foundation on this limited-edition watch. As far as the partnership goes, they’re saying all profits from the watch are going to the charity, so there’s a feel good bit in there for you as well. Here’s what the brand has to say about it:
