Now here’s a watch with some smarts. The T2 by Boston’s LTHR supply is a mechanical GMT disk watch with a lot of style and few odd features that make it more endearing than fashion-y. The watch shows a second timezone in a central disk that rotates the face every 24 hours. Separate hands tell the current time.
The important thing about the T2 is that it runs a ETA 2893-2, a mechanical movement with a GMT hand. It’s nothing particularly special but it’s massively important if the T2 is to be considered a piece of horological art and not a fashion item.

As Victor noted in our Slack room, the watch scratches a certain Bauhaus itch that is missing in modern horology and well worth reviving. Companies like Junghans have been capturing it in the high end but at $279 the T2 ticks off that box at an entry-level price. It’s a fun piece and quite and interesting departure from the regular Kickstarter quartz three-handers.
