I like talking about local watch makers, and I also like bringing you word of cool watch-related events that are coming to my neck of the woods. Tissot is making a lot of noise around their new partnership with the NBA. At the moment, we do not have much in the way of new designs or team-specific watches, but they are working to get the word out about the relationship.
To that end, there is a bit of a road show coming to the Tissot boutique in Macy’s Water Tower (806 N Michigan Ave.) starting January 15th, running through the 20th. On the 15th, you will have an opportunity to meet Toni Kukoc, and on the 16th, Bob Love. Through the duration of the 5-day event, there will also be giveaways and ticket sweepstakes.

- About Toni:
- Toni Kukoc is a retired professional basketball player and serves as Special Advisor to the President & COO for the Chicago Bulls. A veteran of 13 seasons in the NBA, Toni spent seven seasons with the Bulls (1993-2000).
- As a member of the Bulls, he was named the 1995-96 NBA Sixth Man of the Year and a member of three NBA championship teams (1996-98). Kukoc also earned NBA All-Rookie Second Team honors after the 1993-94 season. In 1992, he led the Croatian Men’s National Team to a silver medal in the summer Olympics in Barcelona.

- About Bob:
- Bob Love serves as Chicago Bulls Goodwill Ambassador and represents the organization at various functions throughout the Chicago community. He makes over 100 appearances each year, visiting local schools and educational programs, attending various charity organizations and fundraising events, and speaking to numerous nonprofit agencies, community groups and young athletes. Bob’s NBA career spanned 11 years, including eight seasons with the Bulls.
