Well, you asked us to look at more perpetual calendar watches, so here we are again. This isn’t one we’ve actually gotten from Timex for a hands-on review, but it’s still worth a look.
The model in question is the T2M454 Perpetual Calendar, and, quite obviously, has the perpetual calendar as it’s main feature. That brings up the one design feature that I don’t necessarily care for with this watch. I just don’t like the 3-day cutout for the date display. If anything, it makes things seem more confusing to read than they need to be.
Past that quibble, though, this is a very solid and understated watch. The stainless steel case measures in a 41mm in diameter, while remaining a relatively slender 11mm thick. The matched stainless bracelet measures in at 21mm, and looks to be proportionately correct with the rest of the watch.
Add in the hard mineral crystal, quartz movement, and 100m water resistance, and you can plainly see that this is a watch that should keep up with you in your day to day activities, even if you do decided to jump in the pool with the warm weather hitting.
Additionally, the styling is fairly middle-of-the-road, meaning it would work just as well in the office as it would on the weekend. The one thing that I’d be uncertain of (unless I saw it in person) is the lume. Not sure if this has much, or if it’s relying on an Indiglo backlight. Either which way, quite an affordable piece a around $100 over on Amazon.
