Thank you for reading this WristWatchReview post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

WristWatchReview is one of the few remaining truly independent watch news outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent watch sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis. We don't play the games the other sites play and we've paid for it when it comes to ad revenue.

We would love for you to support us on Patreon and every little bit helps. Thank you.

  1. I read one of your blogs where you talked about the technology of watches. I would like to ask your help.

I am creating a online pocketwatch museum, named obviously pocketwatchmuseum.com. I am starting with a 150 watch collection my mother has assembled.

My problem is that I know nothing about pocket watch technology and need to learn quickly. Do you have any basic references that can show me how to identify escapements and other watch characteristics?

I also need to know how someone might want to visit such a museum. How do they want to search and what do they want to see?

    Thanks if you can help,
