Ok, sure, that tech doesn’t exist yet – but perhaps Swedish brand Ezteem can help you out in a way you might not be thinking of.Ok, semantics jokes aside, this is a fairly established (starting in 2006, from what I can tell) brand centered in Stockholm (with design occurring in Bern as well).  How about that name?  It’s not just a “trendy” mis-spelling of the word esteem:

The name Ezteem is derived from Latin “exsto temporem” and signifies “I project time”. In a world full of watch brands with complicated designs and functions the Ezteem brand fills a gap with its collection of clean, straight forward and elegant design with a modern touch.

They’ve split their line into a classic style and a diver; today, I want to focus in on the Lynx Big Date, which comes from their classic segment.  This model features:

  • 40mm stainless steel case with sapphire crystal
  • Swiss quartz movement with big date display
  • Super Luminova on the hands
  • 50 meter water resistance rating
  • Rubber and leather straps

For me, the best example from the lot is the one with the orangish dial – it just seems to really work with the yellow hands (which is less common these days).  While it works on the black strap, I think I nice brown would have this watch singing.

Now, if you don’t care for the large date display, they’ve got several other options (including some with automatics); you can check them out here.  The one bump in the road in picking one of these up will be availability.  In terms of retailers, I’m only finding one, located in Sweden.  That said, they’ve got stock, and the Lynx I’ve shown here is on sale for about $300.
