We at WWR believe that all automatics should get a chance. That’s why Wright is up here on the big board, duking it out with the Omegas and the Breitlings, and it’s why you should check them out.

This crowdfunded piece features a Japanese automatic movement and tons of class on the face.

I am not a soft touch so it’s unique that Wright lit my fires as much as it did. I really like the Roman numerals, the clever use of case and hand color, and the interesting, understated design. You could even say it’s something “Wright” home about.

The piece costs about $240 for early birds and will ship in February. I especially like the PVD model with bright red seconds hand – an homage to all things nocturnal. It’s cheaper than an Orange Monster and I suspect it would look great with a nice suit and dark button-down. We’ll take a closer look when they ship early in the new year.
