Of the various lineups that Ball has in their catalog, one of the ones I’ve liked the most has to be the Fireman collection. While I’m not a hunter myself, I appreciate that they’re teaming up (again) with Ducks Unlimited to help raise funds for wetlands conservation with the Ball Fireman Ducks Unlimited.

There are actually two slightly different models in this offering – one with a black dial, and a limited edition version with a Mossy Oak camouflage dial. both watches have a sector layout on the dial, with the Ball logo up top and the Ducks Unlimited logo at the bottom (you’ve also got the Ducks Unlimited logo showing up on the caseback as well).

Frankly, a watch like the Ball Fireman Ducks Unlimited seems good for a hunting outing for the very same reason I’d be happy to take one camping with me – you’ve got robust protection (the 40mm stainless steel case offers shock, magnetism, and water resistance; specs are below), and those tritium tubes are going to let you read the time whenever you need it.

While the Ball Fireman Ducks Unlimited features the “standard” tritium tubes (and not the ultra-wide flat tubes that we tend to like a bit more), there’s a total of 63 tubes on the watch, meaning it’ll be a fun lightshow on the wrist, as most Ball watches are.

As I mentioned at the outset, you’ve got two versions of the Ball Fireman Ducks Unlimited on offer. The non-LE version has the black dial and runs $1,149 on the bracelet; the 1,999-piece with the Camo dial runs $1,399 and comes with an additional camo nylon strap. Also worth noting? If you’ve got a Ducks Unlimited Membership, you can get 25% off, all with some of the proceeds going to Ducks Unlimited’s efforts. ballwatch.ch
