The Scubanaut World Diver from Foliot is a beautiful and well-made micro brand timepiece from a relative newcomer in the space. Created by Izzy Alsafa, the watch runs a Miyota 9075 Automatic GMT movement that supports both a 24-hour GMT hand and an hour hand that moves independently, making it a true traveler watch.

In this episode of Behind the Dial, we do a quick deep dive on the watch itself.

The watch is priced at $699 for early birds and goes up to $899 when the discount is over.

Alsafa is a self-professed travel junkie and both of his watches, including the three-handed Diver 200, feature the same movement.

The watch itself is really well made. I love the little touches including a red screw down crown tube that tells you when the watch is not watertight and the beautiful bracelet. I also like the cool polar bear on the back of the watch.

I’m not usually one to gush about micro brands but Izzy has done a great job and I highly recommend picking this up at the early bird price. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
