Bell & Ross are best known for their large, square airplane instrument watches. They made a huge splash when big watches were in vogue but recently they’ve moved towards more traditional designs. Thankfully they haven’t abandoned the bold BR 03 entirely with the Bell & Ross 41mm BR 03.

The new 41mm BR 03s come in multiple colors and finishes – six in total – and run a BR-CAL.302 movement. Two new models – one model with a copper dial (BR 03 COPPER) and a version in khaki-colored ceramic (BR 03 MILITARY) at $4,300 – round out the package. The basic model costs $3,600.

These things are priced right and look great. The BR series has stood the test to time and it’s nice to see the company paying a little attention to its roots. I’d love to see more complications on these things but I suppose we’ll see that in time.

From the release on the Bell & Ross 41mm BR 03:

The centrepiece of Bell & Ross range, the BR 03 collection synthesises the Maison’s identity and symbolises its style. Since 2006, the BR 03 has been a steady pillar of the Bell & Ross brand. Its iconic design is directly inspired by an aircraft’s cockpit, with the Maison building on its founding principle of functionality through the iconic “rounded square, four-screw” design that first appeared in 2005 with the BR 01. Whether embracing a vintage look, cultivating simplicity, taking the high road of sophistication or exploring new aesthetic terrain, the BR 03 has earned its status as an icon. In 2023, the new BR 03 has been reinvented with a 41mm case so that everything evolves, but nothing changes.
