Friend of Knapsack Jon Buford has created something pretty cool. It’s basically a little dongle that hangs around your neck and notifies you when someone gets too close. It’s called Minder and it’s crowdfunding now.

From the site:

The Minder is the world?s first social distancing minder. It uses patent-pending technology to alert you and others if you are standing too close when out in public.

Just put it on and turn it on.

The Minder is simple to use. It senses when you are closer than 6 feet (2m) to someone and gives a gentle reminder to keep a safe distance. No phone needed.

Because it’s a tiny bit of electronics it runs on a single battery and can be worn on your shirt or around your neck. It’s $20 for early birds. You can check it out here.
