The other day, I was going through the Vessi website, and noticed that they had some new waterproof spring styles to get you ready for warmer weather. We’re quite acquainted with their cooler-weather stuff, but these new styles offer brighter colors, as well as some more traditional sorts of profiles.
Vessi Soho
The first waterproof spring style we want to feature is the Vessi Soho. This $150 sneaker comes in variety of colors (from subdued to bright), and features a classic low-profile look. The leather here is vegan (which we presume helps with the waterproofing), and looks like a solid pair of kicks to pair with the casual outfit, either at the office or out on the town.
Vessi Tidal
On the other hand, if your needs for a waterproof spring style trend to the more athletic aesthetic, there’s the Vessi Tidal. These take a running shoe-style upper and pair it to what looks to be quite a pillowy sole. Perhaps a good fit for if you’re walking a lot, or just on your feet all day. Here, again, you’ve got a lot of bright colors, but we rather like the all-black pair with the blast of Vessi blue on the edge of the sole. These are running $145.
Vessi Shoreline 2L
Keeping your feet dry is great, but if you’re expecting rain, how are you going to keep your other stuff – like a phone, wallet, or notebook, dry? You could carry a backpack, or you could keep things a bit lighter and more compact with the Vessi Shoreline 2L. This $55 bag comes in two colors – black or a burnt orange – and offers more storage than their 1L bag. This is the sort of bag that’s great for travel, as it gives you one grab-and-go thing to carry for when you’re going around a city, keeping it all close (and out of your pockets).
