When it comes to luxury brands today, there are plenty of newcomers on the scene.  That said, it’s the makes with the long history that paint the most compelling story, and seem to draw watch collectors in.  So much, so, that John even has an upcoming book (more here) coming out in that arena.

It’s not just all Breguet, though.  You’ve got the likes of Vacheron Constantin, Patek Philippe,  and Blancpain that start to fill up those ranks of storied watch manufacturers.  Of course, you and I are not likely to have one of these gracing our wrists – but the high-end can certainly inspire designs and movements in the more reachable segments.
