Tempest Viking V2

Sales, sales, sales, that seems to be the mantra of the season (at least in the retail world), and we are happy to pass along these notifications to you, our dear reader, as long as they come from a brand we know and trust.  And this is the case with the Tempest Viking V2, a serious dive watch with a 2,000 meter depth rating (yes, it is overkill) and a helium escape valve.  Through the end of December, Tempest is offering 10% off the Viking V2 if you use the coupon code “xmas2015” prior to check out.

Tempest Viking V2Patrick had a chance to check out the original version of the watch in 2013, and he liked it then.  The Tempest Viking V2 replaces the existing caseback with titanium, which should lighten up the beefy diver a bit.  The watch still has an automatic Miyota 9015 movement with a ceramic dial, sapphire bezel insert, and SuperLumiNova paint.  The flat crystal version was selling for $750, with the double dome adding $80.  After the discount, the watch is $625 for the flat crystal version and $747 for the domed one.  If you are looking to pick up an extreme diver for the holidays, this is worth considering.  tempestwatches.com
