Hey, all you fans of the elegant and decadent 1970s (and any other period defined by mechaquartz movements and golden watch cases): Armitron just came out with a new watch for called The Metro that blends a classy case and band with a clever play on older watch models.

The 33mm Metro Gold costs $80 and has a gold-tone rectangle case and a black dial. You can see the movement through the smoked glass dial, complete with coil, which means you get a peek at the mechanism that drives the watch. It includes a gold-tone stainless steel band with a fold-over buckle closure. The watch also comes in black and both feature a day and date calendar with a backlit LED display.

The Metro is available now if you want to grab it in time for your next big soiree.
