When you hear there’s a new Casio Edifice available, you’re probably thinking about something that’s super motorsports-oriented, and probably has more than a healthy dash of smartwatch connectivity built into it, right? And yeah, that’s a lot of what we’ve covered from them. They do have other watches, though, and one that might catch your eye is the Casio Edifice EFRS108D.

Casio Edifice EFRS108D

At first blush, the Casio Edifice EFRS108D might look a lot like the smarter watches we’ve covered. A lot of that comes courtesy of that octagon bezel (which a number of their watches have), as well as the screw heads at the corners. However, this is “just” a simple three-hander quartz watch, no extra bells and whistles built in.

What that means is that you can get a super-slim watch: the Casio Edifice EFRS108D measures in at an almost-impossible 7.8mm thick, which is going to fit a good number of wrists quite amazingly. In many ways, it reminds me of their slim smartwatch which is a very good thing indeed.

Finally, you’ve got the fact that the Casio Edifice EFRS108D comes in two great shades of blue – a trendy teal, and a steely blue. Regardless of the color, you’re looking at a $170 price tag, which is a tidy deal for a watch that can be dressy and sporty, and keep running for three or so years until the battery needs replacing. casio.com
