G-Shock x Albino & Preto

If you’re thinking of classic digital G-Shock, odds are that it’s something from DW6900 lineup, with the trio of indicators on top of the main LCD display. This is a look that’s been around awhile, and has had a number of different collaborations put their spin on it (we most recently talked about a NASA version). The latest to hit is the G-Shock X Albino & Preto DW6900AP23-1.

G-Shock x Albino & Preto – a fresh coat of paint

The thing with watches like the G-Shock DW6900, well, you’ve got an almost infinite palette available. With the resin case and band, you’ve got all manner of color choices to go with, plus different effects that can be layered on. For the G-Shock x Albino & Preto, they kept things simple – you’ve got it done up in an almost all-black look. On top of that, you have pops of color with fluorescent yellow. This shows up ringing the LCD displays, a smidge at the end of the strap, and on the the main button you interact with. Frankly, it’s a fun bit of color done in there, that manages to lift it without smacking you in the face.

Are there any other customizations on the G-Shock x Albino & Preto?

Aside from the colors, the G-Shock x Albino & Preto has the A&P logo appearing above the round LCD readouts, on the lower strap near the lugs, and smack in the center of the caseback. So, yes, you will not forget who this collaboration was with. At the same time, it’s not an overbearing thing, so it’s something you could get if you just like the colors, and have no idea of what the brand is about.
