If you recall, it was way back in 2020 when we first talked about the re-issued Yema Navygraf (seen here). Since that time, Yema has introduced a new micro-rotor movement (more about those movements here), and we’ve seen it appear in a number of watches, like this one. So, it shouldn’t be surprising that they’re now releasing the Yema Navygraf Slim.
Yema Navygraf Slim: what’s different
The major thing here is the inclusion of the CMM.20 micro-rotor movement. The prior version utilized a more standard automatic movement. With the micro-rotor, that means that the entirety of the movement is thinner. Which then means that the case itself can be slimmer. It’s dropped almost 3mm from the height, which means that the 39mm case is just 9.5mm thick.
Around back, you’ve got a large exhibition caseback that lets you see the entirety of the movement. This is a drastic change from the solid caseback of the original, yet they’ve still managed to maintain the 300m WR rating.
Finally, the color scheme is quite different. The original had a vintage look, with faded paint colors on the indices, and yellow for the handset. On the Yema Navygraf Slim, everything is bright white and silver, except for the sweep seconds hand (and the model name on the dial). This makes it feel clean and modern, as does the new bezel insert.
Wrapping things up
The Yema Navygraf Slim was just introduced earlier this month, opening for pre-orders. Delivery is anticipated for this August, so you should be able to get it in time to still do some summertime swimming with it.
