While it’s been awhile since they’ve been on our pages, Limes produces some of our favorite designs, particularly divers and aviators. There’s a very German sensibility to how things are put down in their watches, and their cases are a delight. The latest contender from them to be a do everything, go everywhere “one watch” for your wrist is the Limes Enurance GMT Diver.

The Limes Enurance GMT Diver is first and foremost a diver – the 41.5mm case hits the sweet spot between compact wearability and oversized legibility (and bezel gripping) that you’d want in a diver. You’ve got the 60-minute dive timer on the bezel insert, the crisp white-on-black dial layout for sharp contrast, and generously sized indices and hands to reflect the light (or the glowing lume).

So, right out of the gate, the Limes Enurance GMT Diver is a handy steel tool watch. To make it even more versatile, you’ve got a date window at 6 o’clock, and then the very Flieger-style GMT hand peeking out from the central spindle. Sure, you get “just” one additional timezone due to the dive bezel, but frankly, that’s going to be plenty for keeping track of who it is you’re trying to get a hold of on the other end of the phone.

With 20mm lugs, half the fun with this watch will be figuring out which straps work best for the look you’re going with on the Limes Enurance GMT Diver. Taking out VAT – and converting the currency – you’re looking at about $1,770 to add this robust and versatile traveller to your watch box.
