We’re fans of the watches that Oris produces, especially as many seem to just pass by them when considering a new watch. The Oris Aquis Date is one of their most approachable – and versatile – pieces, and they’ve just introduced some new colors to the family.

First, of course, is the Oris Aquis Date Cherry. We’re a little under a month until cherries are really well in season, so it just makes sense for this cherry-hued dial to hit the streets, at least in our book. This is on their larger model (the 43.5mm case) so you’ll definitely have a good look at that deep hue. For that uncommon color, it’s still a capable dive watch (300m WR rating) ready to tackle whatever your summer has going on in it. This one you’ll be able to pick up for $2,300 (UPDATE: we also found a 41.5mm cherry dial as well)

On the other hand, if you want some color but a touch smaller case size, then the new bi-color Oris Aquis Date might be a spot to look. Along with the smaller case (41.5mm), you’ve got a different movement at work here. For these, it’s the Calibre 400 taking up residence, which has an increased resistance to magnetism and also offers a 5-day power reserve.

In these watches, you’ve got a choice of two dial colors – blue or green. Both of them have an 18k gold treatment on the bezel (with a ceramic insert), and gold tones on the hands and indices. Somewhat surprisingly, the optional bracelet didn’t also go for the two-tone look. Perhaps for a future release. If you want to get one of these, then you’re looking at $4,400 for the version on the color-matched rubber strap, or $4,600 on the three-link steel bracelet. oris.ch
