Bronze seems to be enjoying a bit of a resurgence. We’ve written about a few watches lately that feature bronze or brass alloys, and now today, we’ve got word for you on two new offerings from Christopher Ward that come in bronze.

First up, we’ve got the Christopher Ward C60 Bronze Ombré Green COSC LE. At this point, the C60 Trident should feel like a familiar dive watch design, as CW has been making it for awhile. What I find particularly striking here is the interplay between the warmth of the case and the cool hunter green of the dial. The hombre fade on the dial is ok; what really interests me there is the scratched texture.

This will no doubt match the scratches you pick up over time on the case of the Christopher Ward C60 Bronze Ombré Green COSC LE. Still, the case itself is rated for 600m WR, so the SW200 movement (COSC-rated, to boot) will stay nice and dry. And if you try diving, well, you’ve got the diving bezel there. Worth noting – those raised and polished numerals should stay looking brighter (in my experience) even as the patina develops on the rest of the watch. Coming in at $1,150, it’s a warm way to get fall vibes on your wrist.

On the other hand, perhaps you want something with more of a smoked dial – in which case, there’s the Christopher Ward C63 Sealander Bronze. You might remember the Sealander from our review of the GMT version (seen here), which quickly become my favorite model in their lineup. Here, we’ve got the three-handed chronometer taking residence in the 39mm case. For the dial, we’ve got smoked sapphire, which lets you sit on the fence between a traditional dial and an open-worked one. Here, the movement is the same as we saw in the C60, but pricing is a little lower, with this version starting at $1,095.
