Not that long ago, SevenFriday took us to the beach with two brightly-colored releases (covered here). Well, what do you sometimes see way out in the water when you’re at the beach? Yachts, that’s what! Keeping the 10th anniversary ball rolling, they’ve just released the SevenFriday PS1/03.
For this design, the SevenFriday PS1/03 is a mashup of their classic P-Series lineup and the skeletonized S-Series. To hit the yachting theme, you’ve got a waxed American walnut going around the center of the case, flanked on each side in bright white Corian.
The remained of the watch, as you can see, is hitting heavily on navy blue for its color, with steel and white coming in as accents. Being a fan of blue, I find a lot to like, color-wise, about the watch. The navy blue suede strap seems perhaps an odd choice for a yacht-oriented watch, but I’m sure you could find a rubber strap to swap in. Then again, with only a 3 ATM (30 meter) water resistance rating, perhaps leaving the suede on to remind you to not go swimming with the watch wouldn’t be a bad idea.
The SevenFriday PS1/03 was formally introduced to the world at a shipyard in Zurich just a few days ago, on July 20th, alongside a drybag-style backpack as well as a trucker cap. Even so, we’re seeing that the $1,580 watch – and the accessories – are already marked as sold out on their product page. So, either it was super popular, or it’s not quite ready to order yet.
