As we’ve said a number of times this year (or maybe it just feels like that), collaborations are all the rage when it comes to watches. Timex is certainly no stranger to that, and for their latest model – the Timex x Cynthia Rowley Navi – they collaborated with Manhattan-based Cynthia Rowley.

For this, they of course started with the 38mm dive-inspired Timex Navi. Rather than just throw a new color on the dial, we’ve got an interesting color-blocking technique going on. For this, you’ve got a stripe of color running diagonally across the dial AND the bezel, that then continues on to the strap.

It makes for a rather unique look, and if you’re using that bezel to time (or track a second timezone) you’ll have a jarring visual reminder that you’ve got something different going on there. How did these particular colors come to land on the watch? Turns out, Cynthia Rowley has a wetsuit that actually relies on these color patterns.

While a nice fresh hit of color showing up on a dial is great for the warmer months, I do rather like this asymmetric approach to bringing color to the entirety of the watch, not just the dial. If you want to pick one up in either of the two color variants (our vote is the powder blue) for $150, head over to Cynthia Rowley or of course over to timex.com
