Reservoir has definitely carved a space for themselves, creating single-hand watches that are bold in their presentation. For their latest, they’re leaning in very hard on the motorsports theme. Meet the Reservoir x Telos GT Tour collection.

As you can see just above, the Reservoir GT Tour Racing features a carbon fiber dial and a bold red hand and indice layout that mimics the look of a tachometer. Necessarily, this is a retograde indication of the minutes, which means it will jump from the 6 to the 0 at the top of the hour.

When that occurs, the squared window will jump to the next hour. While I’m not much for single-hand watches, this jumping hour approach makes a lot of functional sense, as you can very clearly tell what minute you’re at in the hour.

Additionally, I really enjoy the power reserve “fuel gauge” that appears below the jump hour, further reinforcing the driving feel. All in all, it’s a compelling and interesting design. Then again, there’s the Reservoir GT Tour Spring Lap, that puts a matte black dial blank in (instead of carbon fiber) and goes with green accents instead of red, giving a different look to things that I rather prefer in this lineup.

If you want to pick up one of the two versions, pricing runs between $4,400 – $5,200 depending on the color scheme and choice of strap or bracelet; you can check them out (and order your own) at reservoir-watch.com
