If we need further proof that the Swatch Group is trying desperately to destroy any goodwill they generated with the Moonswatch, I present the Strawberry Moon of June Swatch MoonSwatch Moonshine Gold Strawberry or some shit. It’s a new version of the Moonswatch with – get this – a gold hand with strawberries on it.

The watch honors some bullcrap about the Strawberry Moon of June and, according to ABlogtoWatch:

“The Maine Farmers’ Almanac began publishing Indian names for full Moons in the 1930s, and these names are now widely known and used. According to this almanac, as the full Moon in June the Algonquin tribes of what is now the northeastern United States called this the Strawberry Moon. The name comes from the relatively short season for harvesting strawberries in the northeastern United States.”

Nothing like some obscure Farmer’s Almanac stuff to keep the kids excited about watches. They launched the Moon June Strawberry Baboon today, July 3, just in time for June.

The watch will cost a mere $300 and seriously WTF.
