While I cannot say I’m a steadfast fan of chronograph watches, there’s just something about the trigger-operated options from Graham that captures my attention. Those watches have been large, and with steel cases, tend towards the heavier side. Their latest, the Graham Chronofighter Superlight Carbon Skeleton, changes the equation in a big way.

Rather than relying on steel, the Graham Chronofighter Superlight Carbon Skeleton has a case made of an expoxy resin with metallised carbon fibers. This resin is tinted a vibrant orange, making for a very eye catching case. Those carbon fibers have a copper tint to them as well, meaning you might catch some glints in there. And when the lights go down, you get treated to another suprised – the SuperLuminova that was used in the case creation, allowing it to glow some in the dark.

Inside that case, we’ve got a familiar movement and operation, given that this works much like the other Graham Chronofighters have been. On the dial, though, there are some differences. Here’s what Graham says about it:

Graham doesn’t do ordinary or bland. Its watches are intended to engage with hearts and minds. The Superlight Carbon Skeleton features an open-worked dial revealing several components that are usually hidden from view. Prominent hour and minute hands, lined with Super-LumiNova, come to the fore to lucidly convey the time. Two counters, a 30-minute register at 3 o’clock and a small seconds counter at 9 o’clock, employ blue or green hands to impart meaning. The dial is framed with a black carbon (3K) bezel combining black and grey hues, underscoring the sporty character of the watch.

If you want to get one of these fancy new sub-100gram watches from Graham, you can certainly do that (there are other colors available as well). To put one on your wrist, that’ll be $15,950 to do just that. For all the details, head on over to graham1695.com
